A home is a place of refuge, a castle, a sanctuary, a house. However, it is a complex and immensely expensive mechanism that seems always in need of attention. In fact, a house is the single largest expense most of us will ever incurreason enough to maintain it.
As a master carpenter I have learned over the years of working on old homes, that it's easier to tackle problems when they're small than to go after monsters nurtured by neglect. Ignored, a house will succumb to the ravage of time and weather. Maintained, it can last nearly forever.
But where to start and what to do? Let me give you a hand and make your house a home. |
